The length of the game...
60% (about 30 hours of gameplay) of the game is on the first disk, 30% (about 15 hours) is on the second disk, and only 10% (about 5 hours) is on the third disk. So don't worry if you think you have spent too much time on the first disk, it's perfectly normal.

What is the combination of the safe and where is Vincent??
For those who are having trouble opening the safe inside the mansion at Nibelheim, the combination is Right to 36, left to 10, right to 59, and right again to 97.
You have to do this in less than 20 seconds. Inside the safe there is a Materia, a key, and a boss. The key opens a door in the basement where you will find Vincent sleeping in a coffin. And after you defeat the boss, you will also get the level 4 Limit for Red XIII.

Where is Yuffie??
To get Yuffie, wander around any of the woods in the world and sometimes you might encounter her in battles. Defeat her and talk to her. (Do not go to the save point, Yuffie will steal your money and run away!). Answer her questions in the following order:
1. Second answer.
2. First answer.
3. Second answer.
4. First answer.
5. Second answer.
And then she will then join you. You should look for her before you go to her hometown Wutai.

I need the password on the spaceship!!
The password for getting the Huge Materia inside the rocket is: Circle, square, X and X again.

Cloud's best weapon...
Still remember the huge black dragon that attacked Mideel? Towards the end of the second disk (rigth before you go down to find Sephiroth), you might encounter it again. Fight it a couple times and it will escape to a place close to Cosmo Canyon. Defeat the dragon and you will get a POWERFUL sword, called Ultima Weapon, for Cloud. The more HP Cloud has, the more powerful the sword would become. After you defeat the dragon, you will be able to reach the Ancient Forest. In the forest you can find two Materia, and a weapon for Cloud (which allows three times the growth of Materias). One of the Materia you will find is a Summon Materia and the other one is the "Slash All" Materia. The person who equips the Materia will be able to "Slash All" instead of the normal attack. It's extremely useful. You can have Cloud equip the Ultima Weapon, and let him equip the "Slash All" Materia. He should be able to take 8000 HP off each enemy for each attack.

I can't find some Summon Materias!! I know I know, Summon Magic looks extremely impressive and I know you will be mad if you can't find them all. But don't worry, here is the guide on how to get them.

How does Limit work and how do I get Level 4 Limits?? The number of Limits a character has does NOT depend on his/her actual level. For most of the characters, there are two Limits for each limit level. The first one depends on how many enemies the character has finished off. The second one depends on how many times the character has used the first limit on that level. Each character (except for Cait Sith) has a Level 4 Limit that can only be learned with a special item and provided that the character has learned ALL Level 1, 2, and 3's Limits. Here is how to obtain the Level 4 Limits. Note that Cait Sith has only Level 1 and 2 Limits, and only one limit on each level. Also, Vincent has only one limit per level.

Something about Gold Saucer...
Go to the battle area and win Cloud's Level 4 Limit (the second last item on the list) and the W Summon Materia (the last item on the list). Then Cloud will be able to join the advanced battle competition.
Go to the Chocobo Racing and win the S class ten times, you will recieve some good stuffs....
At the Wonder Square, you can exchange the Exp Plus Materia (which allows the character to get more experience) for 2000GP and the Gil Plus for 1000GP.

Finding the Guide Book...
The Guide Book could be found near the Underground Mako Reactor. First, you must have the Morph Materia. Then go to the undergound reactor. Right before you enter the reactor (you should be in a glass tube tunnel), there is an enemy that looks like a ghost ship. It has 8000 HP, and you must take off as much HP from him as possible without killing it. When its HP get down to about 100, kill it with the Morph command and you will receive the Guide Book. Now bring the book back to the old man at Kalm to exchange the Underwater Materia. Equip the Materia and you will be able to fight the underwater Weapon with unlimited time.

Doubling items with W-item...
If you have the W-item Materia, then you could have unlimited supply of items! First of all, you will need the W-item Materia. Then equip the Materia. During battles, select the W-item command. Now pick the item that you want to double and use it on any character/enemy. Then pick a second item (any one), but do not use it! Hit the Cancel button and you will see that the first item has increased by one. Now hit Confirm and Cancel again. Note that this will only allow you to max out all the items that are usable during battles.
The only time you can get the W-item Materia is towards the end of the second disc. When you go back to Midgar to stop Hojo, you will have to go through the underground railway. Head south (even everyone tells you that north is the right way) and you will find the Materia at the dead end.
